01Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ('Terms') constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lorenzo Simonelli ('Rouve', 'we', 'us', 'our'), an individual operating under Italian law with address in Aversa (CE), Italy.

By downloading, installing, or using the Rouve application ('App'), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified in-app with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the App after the effective date of any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

02Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Rouve. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that you have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the App and to agree to these Terms.

By using Rouve, you represent and warrant that: (a) you meet the minimum age requirement; (b) you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement; and (c) your use of the App complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

Rouve is available exclusively on Apple iOS devices running iOS 17 or later. Access through any other means is not supported and may constitute a violation of these Terms.

03Description of the service

Rouve is an AI-powered travel packing list application. The App allows you to:

• Create and manage trip profiles including destination, dates, trip type, and traveller details.
• Generate AI-powered packing list suggestions via Anthropic's Claude API.
• Manually add, edit, check off, and delete packing items.
• Store your trips and lists locally on your device, with optional iCloud sync.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time, with or without notice, provided that we will use reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes that affect core functionality.

04Account and authentication

Access to Rouve requires authentication via Sign in with Apple, which is the sole supported authentication method. By signing in, you authorise Apple to share an anonymised identifier with Rouve for the purpose of account creation and session management.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and device. You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

Each Apple ID may be associated with one Rouve account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent generation limits or any other restriction is a violation of these Terms and may result in suspension of all associated accounts.

05Free tier, limits, and premium unlock

Free tier

Upon creating an account, you are granted a free tier that includes 1 AI-generated packing list (generation). This limit applies per account, not per device or per trip.

Once your free generation is consumed, you will no longer be able to generate new AI packing lists. You may continue to access, edit, check off, and manage all previously generated and manually created content without restriction. The App remains fully functional as a manual packing list manager.

Premium unlock

You may unlock unlimited AI generations by purchasing the Rouve Premium upgrade, available as a one-time in-app purchase through the Apple App Store. The purchase price is displayed in the App at the time of purchase and may vary by region in accordance with Apple's App Store pricing tiers.

The Premium unlock is:

• Permanent — it does not expire and is not a subscription.
• Non-transferable — it is tied to your Apple ID and cannot be transferred to another account.
• Restorable — if you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can restore your purchase at no charge using the 'Restore purchases' function in the App, provided you are signed in with the same Apple ID.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refund requests are subject to Apple's refund policy, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes. Rouve has no ability to issue refunds directly.

If Apple approves a refund for your Premium purchase, your account will revert to free-tier status and AI generation will be disabled until a new purchase is made. Any content generated during the Premium period remains accessible.

06AI-generated content

Rouve uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate packing list suggestions. By requesting a generation, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Suggestions only — AI-generated packing lists are suggestions based on the trip details you provide. They are not exhaustive, guaranteed, or tailored to your specific medical, legal, or safety needs.
• No liability for omissions — Rouve is not responsible for items omitted from a generated list, nor for any consequences arising from reliance on AI-generated content, including but not limited to forgotten travel documents, medications, or safety equipment.
• Accuracy not guaranteed — the quality of suggestions depends on the accuracy of the input you provide and the inherent limitations of large language models.
• Always verify independently — critical items such as passports, visas, prescription medicines, and safety gear must be verified independently of the App.

Your trip details are transmitted to Anthropic for the purpose of list generation. Anthropic does not retain your data or use it to train models. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

07Acceptable use

You agree to use Rouve solely for its intended purpose — personal travel packing list management — and in compliance with all applicable laws. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:

• Automated requests — using bots, scripts, or any automated means to send generation requests or interact with the App or backend API.
• API abuse — attempting to bypass generation limits, rate limits, or authentication mechanisms by any technical means.
• Reverse engineering — decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code, algorithms, or system prompts of the App or its backend.
• Unauthorised access — attempting to access systems, accounts, or data belonging to other users or to Rouve's infrastructure.
• Spam and flooding — sending excessive, repetitive, or malicious requests to our servers.
• Harmful content — submitting destination or trip inputs designed to generate harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
• Impersonation — creating multiple accounts or misrepresenting your identity to circumvent restrictions.
• Interference — attempting to disrupt, degrade, or impair the performance or availability of the App or its backend services.

We reserve the right to monitor usage patterns at an aggregate and per-account level to detect violations of this section. Such monitoring does not involve reading the content of your packing lists.

08Suspension and termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to Rouve, with or without prior notice, if we determine in our reasonable discretion that you have:

• Violated any provision of these Terms.
• Engaged in automated abuse, bot activity, or API exploitation.
• Attempted to hack, reverse-engineer, or compromise our infrastructure.
• Created multiple accounts to circumvent limits or restrictions.
• Engaged in any conduct that is harmful, fraudulent, or illegal.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Content stored locally on your device remains accessible until you uninstall the App. Account data held on our servers will be deleted within 30 days of termination, subject to legal retention obligations.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected] and requesting account deletion. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any purchase.

09Intellectual property

The Rouve application, including its name, logo, design, user interface, source code, backend infrastructure, and all associated materials, is the exclusive intellectual property of Lorenzo Simonelli, protected under Italian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property law.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on your personal iOS device solely for its intended purpose. This licence does not include the right to copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works of any part of the App.

Your content — packing lists, trip details, and items you create or edit within the App — remain your property. You grant us no licence to your content beyond what is strictly necessary to operate the service as described in our Privacy Policy.

10Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The App is provided 'as is' and 'as available', without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rouve and Lorenzo Simonelli shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
• Loss of data, trips, or packing lists due to device failure, App malfunction, or iCloud issues.
• Travel disruptions, losses, or damages arising from reliance on AI-generated packing list suggestions.
• Interruptions to the service caused by third-party infrastructure providers including Apple, Anthropic, Railway, RevenueCat, Sentry, or TelemetryDeck.
• Unauthorised access to your account resulting from your failure to secure your Apple ID or device.

Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law — including the Italian Consumer Code (D.Lgs. 206/2005) and EU Directive 2019/770 on digital content and services — our liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €10, whichever is greater.

11Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Italian Republic, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Aversa (CE), Italy, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence grants you the right to bring proceedings before your local courts.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you also have the right to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform, available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
